The Township of Maplewood Division of Arts & Culture is proud to present "Earth & Water", a solo exhibition of work by Lauren Rosenthal McManus. McManus’s drawings, installations, and community-based projects combine geospatial data and site-specific pigments to emphasize the innate beauty and universal importance of freshwater systems. These works spark a deepened sense of place through the reconsideration of community boundaries and notions of home.

During Garden State Art Weekend, visitors of all ages are invited to participate in creating a collaborative map of the Rahway River Watershed, where 1978 Maplewood Art Center is located. Join us in painting an ecological patchwork of earth colors gathered in the landscapes through which these waters flow—a reminder of our collective responsibility to care for one another and for the river on which we depend.
