During GSAW, the Montclair Art Museum will offer numerous exciting exhibitions showcasing a range of American and Native American art, by established and emerging artists.
Interwoven Power: Native Knowledge / Native Art is a fresh reinstallation of Montclair Art Museum’s renowned collection of Indigenous art from North America.
Nanette Carter: Shifting Perspectives is a career retrospective showcasing how the artist has used the language of abstraction—shape, line, color, and texture—to reflect the world around her.
A to Sze: Collecting at MAM (2000-2025) is a collection-based exhibition showcasing acquisitions at the Museum from the last 25 years.
Similarly, opening on April 12, Platinum to Postcards: Collecting Photography at MAM (2000–2025) showcases photography acquisitions from the last 25 years.
Also opening on April 12, is Tyler Chan: Montclair Snap Memories, an exhibition of photographs made by Montclair native Tyler Chan while a student at Montclair High School.
