The Underground Portrait Society is a unique pop-up gallery located in a Montclair basement art studio that once served as a speakeasy. During Garden State Arts Weekend, it will feature oil portraits and other works from seven women artists who bonded from behind easels at the Fine Art Academy of Montclair (FAAM).

The space also serves as an intimate venue where Society members come together to offer helpful critiques and support each other’s journeys. We welcome you to discover figurative paintings and drawings in a range of styles and voices while enjoying an afternoon in beautiful Montclair.
